Specialist in the organization of property and personal security / Health, Safety and Security Officer Ukraine Kyiv in Norwegian Refugee Council / NRC

Horwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian non-governmental organization founded in 1946. We provide assistance, protect the rights and contribute to solving the problems of refugees, internally displaced persons and other persons affected by armed conflict.  NRC began its activities in Ukraine at the end of 2014, supporting people affected by the conflict in the east of the country. We are now increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to flee their homes due to war. 

We are looking for a Specialist in the organization of property and personal security / Health, Safety and Security Officer in the Northern Regional Office of the NRC in Kyiv. 

  Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assist in the preparation of the weekly/daily security report in the region;
• Participate in conducting full security risk assessments;
• Control and inspect all HSS equipment issued in the Northern Region;
• Participate in health and safety staff training;
• Update and monitor the content of online files and reports of the Northern Region Office in AELA;
• Manage and monitor employee movements;
• Perform any other tasks as directed by the HSS Coordinator and, if necessary, the HSS Training Coordinator HSS questions.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience;
• Knowledge of radio communication is a must ;
• Knowledge of geographic information system (GIS) is an advantage;
• Experience as a duty officer is a significant advantage;
• B1 level of English, both written and spoken.
