Health and Nutrition PM in Action contre la Faim

We are looking for an experienced program manager who will be able to implement Health and Nutrition (H&N) activities. This is a good opportunity to support the teams on the ground in reinforcing the application of ACF SOPs, enhancing team cohesion, developing capacity, and creating various tools to support the programs. Requirements:

• At least five years work experience with progressive responsibility including experience working with the UN and/or NGO
• Experience in program management and/or coordination.
• Master’s degree in Public Health and/or Nutrition or Diploma in General Medicine, Nursing or similar.
• Strong data analysis skills Good analytical and writing skills (including writing project proposals), negotiation, communication and advocacy skills
• Experience in training

• Excellent interpersonal skills, experience of working with government partners, NGOs and good ability to work

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mission 1: Design and evaluate ACFs emergency health and nutrition interventions  Supervises and supports the development, the implementation and the monitoring of health activities to strengthen the service provision of quality primary health care, reproductive health services and nutrition services in Kharkiv and Sumy Region. Providing strategic support and guidance in the design of effective emergency health and nutrition interventions and providing technical advice for the development of other sectorial programming. Support the planning and implementation of emergency health and nutrition response activities and setting of quality performance targets by ensuring compliance with national policy, strategy and technical standards, best practice and internal and donor guidelines. Strengthen the technical capacities of health and nutrition teams in the implementation of activities (on-the-job training and training of trainers to facilitate cascade training on key nutrition messages)
• Mission 2: Monitor and coordinate health and nutrition activities Regularly exchange with the Field Coordinator and Health and Nutrition Head of Department (HNHoD) on the health and nutrition technical and programmatic aspects of projects/ responses in line with the achievement of ACF main objectives; To control, validate and follow up on the consumption of its programmes' medical supplies in order to establish procurement requests in line with the budget and ensure quality control; Monitor the quality of response activities by tracking indicators and reports produced by the health and nutrition teams; Work with other ACF departments and response actors to ensure quality implementation of nutrition elements within projects; Coordinating the drafting of activity reports for donors on the health and nutritional aspects of projects.
• Mission 3: Develop technical capacity and mentor emergency health and nutrition teams The HNPM is responsible for: Provide technical support to the HN Team in Kharkiv base specifically on health and nutrition expertise; Identify the training needs of the teams with regard to health and nutrition.
• Mission 4: Represent ACF in the technical structure of coordination Represent ACF in different meetings/workshops in the field of health and nutrition for Kharkiv and Sumy area; Participate in the Ukraine Health and Nutrition Sub-Clusters and other related coordination meetings and ensure effective information sharing and flow; Ensure effective partnership, coordination and collaboration with regional and district health authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and other international partners in the design and implementation of any health and nutrition component.
