General purpose of the position
The head of projects and programs for public health and psychosocial care is responsible for Medair's activities in the field of health care and psychosocial support in the north of Ukraine, ensuring compliance with goals, deadlines, budget and international standards. Responsibilities include project implementation, coordination, reporting, personnel management and training, as well as collaboration with other departments and technical advisors. The role also involves coordinating with stakeholders, participating in strategy formation, proposal development and ensuring an integrated approach to programming.
Project Description
Medair is an international Christian humanitarian organization that provides emergency aid to the most vulnerable people affected by conflict, disease or natural disasters, ensuring dignity and hope. Activities in Ukraine began at the end of March 2022 in various regions of the country. Medair has implemented numerous interventions in the sectors of housing (including NCP), protection, health (including MHPSS) and WASH. The organization's teams work in the East, North and South of Ukraine, providing a multi-sectoral approach to assistance. We are seeking a qualified professional to join us in supporting vulnerable communities.
Essential Responsibilities
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Education / Qualification
Required: Doctor or nurse; OR degree in psychology, global mental health, or social work.
2-3 years project management experience in a health NGO/MHPSS.
Preferred: PFA and mhGAP HIG training.
Knowledge of humanitarian principles, Sphere, CHS and IASC guidelines on MHPSS.
Experience work
Required: Experience in program development, monitoring and evaluation.
Experience in reporting, working with numbers and administrative tasks.
Experience in managing multiple tasks and making decisions within the scope of a project.
Experience in line management, budget control and program reporting.
Desirable: Experience in humanitarian emergencies situations.
Experience of working in healthcare clusters andprotection.
Experience in community mobilization, capacity building, staff training/mentoring.
Languages
Required: Ukrainian and English.
Computer skills
Required: confident command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
