The DOT Defense Procurement Agency is a state enterprise engaged in the procurement of equipment, ammunition, UAVs, food, clothing, fuel and lubricants for the Armed Forces and the Defense Forces.

Our mission: we provide the Defense Forces and develop the national defense industry for the stability and defense capability of Ukraine.

Now we are looking for a Head of the Software Development Department who will lead the development team, organize planning and control of work and ensure the effective development of software solutions in the state structure of the defense direction.

Job duties:

1. Strategic planning: Defining the technical strategy and long-term goals of the organization in the field of software. Development of plans for the implementation of projects and innovations.
2. Team management: Management and development of teams of developers, testers and other technical specialists.
3. Work coordination: Ensuring cooperation between different teams within the organization, as well as with external parties.
4. Technical expertise: Support of a high level of technical competence in the team, implementation of the latest technologies and methodologies.
5. Quality assurance: Responsibility for the quality of final products. Implementation of quality standards and testing methods.
6. Communications: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, team and end users.

7. Risk management: Identification of potential project risks and development of strategies to minimize them.

Requirements for candidates:

1. Experience in managing development teams, ability to effectively organize teamwork and build development processes.
2. Experience in a managerial position from 2 years.
3. Experience in designing the architecture of complex systems.
4. Good understanding of OOP and?SOLID design patterns.
5. Experience of 3 years or more with ?.NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server
6. Experience with Nginx, Redis, ElasticSearch, Docker, Git.
7. Understanding the working principles of the REST API and HTTP protocol, LDAP, JSON/XML data exchange format.
8. Experience in implementing complex IT solutions for medium or large businesses using ERP systems.
9. Understanding and?experience of working with?continuous code delivery in?CI/CD.
10. Experience with Jira or other task tracker.
11. Proactive civic position.
12. Zero tolerance to?corruption.
