The Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCHU) invites the Head of the Methodological and Educational Work Sector to join the Department of Physical and Mental Rehabilitation.The Head of the Methodological Sector and educational work is responsible for the management of the sector and the employees of the sector, as well as for the development of a system for the implementation of training, supervision and evaluation of activities in the direction of rehabilitation of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

The Red Cross Society of Ukraine (RCHU) invites the Head of the Methodological and Educational Work Sector to join the Department of Physical and Mental Rehabilitation.

The Head of the Methodological Sector and educational work is responsible for the management of the sector and the employees of the sector, as well as for the development of a system for the implementation of training, supervision and evaluation of activities in the direction of rehabilitation of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine. which is one of the first to respond to all emergency situations in the country and provides assistance to those who need it most.

Main responsibilities:

1. Management of the work of the sector of methodological and educational work.

2. Development of standards, SOPs and guiding documents to ensure quality implementation of rehabilitation activities.

3. Development of a plan for the implementation of training activities and an information campaign in the regions.

4. Provision of additional training and professional development activities for mobile rehabilitation teams and other related areas in the regions, upon request.

5. Supervise the creation of materials for an awareness campaign and/or support the physical therapist/assistant in the creation of such materials.

6. Provision of consulting on technical aspects of rehabilitation and physical therapy and other related areas, at the request of other programs of the TCHU or external structures.

7. Participating in creation, familiarization, evaluation and development of training plans for the MRK and other structures, upon request.

8. Provision of descriptive reporting on a quarterly basis regarding the activities of the sector. 

9. Regular visits to regional and local organizations of the TCHU to monitor the quality of programs, provide feedback and provide technical support to regional staff.

Requirements:

  • Higher education: Master's in Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy
  • At least two years of experience in Physical/Occupational Therapy
  • Experience in humanitarian projects
  • Community/home-based experience would be an advantage
  • Team management experience
  • Understanding of therapeutic intervention process including assessment, goal setting, individualized development rehabilitation plan. Re-evaluation, modification of IPR As needed, completion and provision of further recommendations.
  • Experience in methodology development
  • Skills in team development and training of others
  • Experience in conducting trainings, facilitation

Additional desirable skills:

  • English language level B2 and above.
