The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization that promotes and supports long-term solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide.

DRB is currently seeking a highly qualified Housing Rehabilitation Project Team Leader to join the team in Mykolaiv.

General Position Objectives:

The Housing Rehabilitation Project Team Leader will play a key role in managing DRB's response to the needs of restoration of housing and infrastructure in the south of Ukraine. This includes leading the members of the Housing Rehabilitation Team, providing technical support and guidance to the team, and ensuring effective planning, implementation and follow-up of all technical aspects of the sector activities implemented by the DRB.

The Housing Rehabilitation Project Team Leader will develop and maintain effective working relationships with people in need, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian organizations in order to properly implement and coordinate the activities of the DRB sector. Strong leadership qualities and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

The position involves territorial reporting and ensuring compliance with DRB procedures and policies in southern Ukraine. She also contributes to the development of territorial strategies, translating them into action plans and daily tasks, and provides support and/or technical direction to operational activities in the region.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Management:

  • Lead and manage the team (including planning personnel, their productivity, well-being and development)

  • Ensure effective planning and quality implementation of all housing and settlement rehabilitation activities

  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and quality assessment, as well as provide technical support

  • Provide timely weekly and monthly status reports

Program and operational activities:

  • Ensure efficient and effective implementation of the program in accordance with the budget and work plan

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual major reports and budgets for donors

  • Lead the team in monitoring and evaluating data

Coordinating and representation:

  • Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on relevant sector issues

  • Represent DRB at meetings and other technical coordination forums

Project development:

  • Develop project plans and budgets for funding

  • Develop and monitor project tools

  • Ensureoversee project implementation and report preparation

  • Monitor and evaluate projects

Logistics/Finance:

  • Follow and control financial commitments and expenses according to the budget and provide timely feedback on budget execution

  • Plan and coordinate logistics and movement in advance personnel between operational regions

  • Initiate purchases and ensure their timely execution

  • Ensure the preparation of distribution plans and their timely transfer to the logistics department

About you:
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 3 years of experience in managerial positions in construction projects or in the operation service of enterprises, as well as at least 1 year of practical work experience in the relevant NGO sector. In addition, we expect the following from you:

Required:

  • Full higher specialized engineering education (construction, architecture, energy, water supply)

  • Proven management skills and competence in personnel management

  • Excellent command of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Fluency in Ukrainian and an advanced level of English

Desirable:

  • Prior field experience

  • Proven experience in managing construction projects in the fields of energy supply, water supply and drainage

  • Knowledge of legislation in the field of construction

salary depending on the results of the work and the availability of funding after the successful completion of the 3-month trial period.

Position level:G– managerial.

Place of work: Mykolaiv

Start date:April 2026.

Salary and conditions in accordance with the nationaland internationalpersonnel of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine.
