We are hiring for a Head of IDP Protection
Position Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to ensure quality planning and coordination of the NRC Protection from Violence (PfV) program in the eastern region of Ukraine. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for mentoring, training and development of staff on technical issues related to the PfV program.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the effective and efficient management of PfV projects in Eastern Ukraine according to the project management cycle, and safe and inclusive programming according to strategies, proposals and plans.
- Development of annual activity and work plans, budget management of PfV projects, which will include promotion of development and implementation of civil self-defense measures.
- Manage, train, mentor and coach the project team on general defense management and individual defense assistance in accordance with NRC methods and standards.
- Responsible for managing all phases of the project cycle, grants and budgets. Participating in project review meetings and organizing project reviews for the PfV team in the region, and promoting/sharing ideas for improvements and required operational changes.
- Facilitate and monitor regular community engagement processes such as assessments, community workshops and monitoring of collective facilities in coordination with the CCCM cluster.
- Provide information for internal and external reporting, both descriptive and financial.
- Ensure representation in sectoral coordination, clusters and/or working groups relevant to defence, and collaboration with relevant partners and local stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation of appropriate monitoring, evaluation and training (MEL) activities, including the involvement of MEL teams in the development of protection monitoring tools and activities. This includes Mrcontributing to the generalization of experience gained during the implementation of the project and its methodology.
- Contribute to the creation and/or strengthening of functional internal and external referral mechanisms, including the development of standard operating procedures and case tracking tools, as well as providing technical support throughout the implementation phase.
- Ensure compliance NRC policies and donor requirements.
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in accordance with the advocacy strategy. Monitor and analyze protection risks and liaise with other protection actors, including other PfV teams in the NRC, to address risks at the community level. Positions:
- Relevant university degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager in complex emergency protection, with responsibility for project cycle management, risk management, HR management and development, and grant and budget management.
- Experience in logistics/administrative management.
- Experience in coordination and advocacy work.
