The Head of HR oversees and manages the human resources function, aligns HR strategies with business objectives, and fosters a high-performance culture. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies and programs, managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and leading talent acquisition and retention efforts to support the company’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Strategy and Leadership:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team (5-7 people), ensuring effective delivery of HR services.
    • Act as a strategic partner to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on HR-related matters (or — Business acumen: The Head of HR must have a good understanding of the organization’s business objectives and financial goals to align HR strategies with these goals.)
  2. Retention:
    • Develop and implement retention strategies to maintain a high level of employee engagement and reduce turnover.
    • Track key HR metrics like cost per hire and retention rates
    • Manage internal communication projects ( Gallup survey, eNPS, 360 reviews, PDP for Core team players, All-Hands)
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand common needs and ensure timely fulfillment of tasks
  3. Employee Relations and Engagement:
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and satisfaction across offices.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts as needed.
    • Organize and promote employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and professional development programs.
    • Employee Journey: Design and implement an optimal development path for each employee, including supporting managers in their professional growth and team development.
  4. Performance Management and Development:
    • Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance employee performance.
    • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs to support employee growth.
  5. Compensation and Benefits:
    • Conduct regular salary benchmarking and reviews to ensure market competitiveness.
    • Oversee payroll administration and ensure accurate and timely processing.
  6. Prepare budgets by department.
  7. HR Policies and Compliance:
    • Update HR policies and procedures in compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate HR records and reports, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  8. Organizational Development:
    • Drive organizational development initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall company performance.
    • Lead change management efforts, supporting the organization through periods of growth and transformation.
    • Implement strategies to enhance organizational structure, processes, and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership role within the IT or tech industry.
  • Skills:
    -Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
    -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
    -Proven track record in employee relations, and performance management.
    -Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    -Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
    -Proficiency in HR software and G-Suite.

Work Environment:

  • This role includes traveling to other company locations or industry events regularly.
  • The Head of HR will work in a fast-paced environment that requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
