Head of Business Transformation & Process Excellence (Banking) in HR Agency Key People

Our client is a Ukrainian bank with a long history. The bank is at the stage of active changes and improvement of operational efficiency. 

We are looking for a manager who will help rethink and optimize key business processes, increase the speed of decision-making and the quality of service, working in close cooperation with department heads and the board.

This is not a classic PMO role. We are looking for a leader who will act as an internal consultant, facilitator and coach of change, helping the business to independently implement transformations.

Key role

Building and developing a business process and change management system in the bank through partnership with department heads, sharing with them the responsibility for implementing changes.

Zones responsibility

1. Optimization and reengineering of business processes

• Analysis of key bank processes (lending, operations, customer service, back office)
• Identification of inefficiencies, bottlenecks and duplication of functions
• Development of optimized process solutions together with business

2. Facilitation of changes through business

• Working with department heads as "process owners"
• Support in implementing changes without direct operational management
• Conducting strategic and working sessions (workshops)

3. Development of a process approach

• Implementation of process governance (description of processes, roles, metrics)
• Formation of a culture of responsibility for processes at the level of divisions
• Implementation of KPI/metrics of process efficiency

4. Coaching and mentoring of managers

• Support of department heads in transformational changes
• Development of change management skills in top and middle management
• Formation of “ownership mindset” in business

5. Engagement with digital transformation

• Collaboration with CDTO and IT on process automation
• Initiating changes that can be enhanced through digital and AI solutions
• Ensuring that technology is implemented into already optimized processes

Candidate requirements

• Experience in the banking sector or financial institutions
• Experience optimizing or transforming business processes
• Understanding key bank processes (front, middle, back office)
• Experience working with directors/board level leaders
• Strong facilitation skills
• Experience implementing change management approaches
• Systemic thinking and ability to work with complex organizations

Will an advantage

• Experience in consulting (Big4 / strategy / operations consulting)
• Experience in implementing Lean / Six Sigma / BPM approaches
• Experience in bank transformation programs
