Device Department develops devices for security and automation. And it also poses serious challenges in the following areas: — Low-Power: devices must work as long as possible from regular batteries; — Cost: the mass product must remain in the range of the average price segment; — DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFH (Design for Human): Circuits, housings, and other elements must be easily repeatable in hundreds of thousands of devices in production without loss of quality. The development is mainly for STM32 (but there are also other MCUs and SoCs), using Embedded C. A strong expertise and talented staff of Hardware and Embedded C engineers, industrial designers, and mechanical designers have already been gathered.

Tasks:

• develop circuit solutions and printed circuit boards for new Ajax devices
• work on improving existing Ajax devices
• select replacement of components, with a description of the necessary tests for this
• do initial inspection and debugging of prototypes (bring up)
• bring projects to mass production (10,000+/month)

Required skills and knowledge:

• device circuit design: calculation of circuit elements, simulations of device operation
• printed circuit board design in Altium Designer
< li> designing devices taking into account certification requirements (LVD, EMC)
• designing devices taking into account mass production requirements
• designing low-power devices
• designing network devices (230 VAC )
• optimization of the cost of devices (unification of the element base, search for alternative components)
• debugging of prototypes, search and elimination of problems in devices
• preparation of documentation for the production of printed circuit boards and their assemblies
• work with version control systems (git)
• the level of English knowledge is sufficient to read supporting documentation fluently

Will be a plus:

• experience in the development of devices with streaming video (MIPI interface)
• experience in working with the supply chain in large volumes of production (10000+/month)
• experience in creating embedded software of modern platforms (STM32, etc.), sufficient for debugging own development
• understanding of the principles of signal integrity / power integrity in device design, as well as experience in modeling / characterizing topologies (S-parameters, PDN impedance)
