Hardware developer in Ajax Systems

Ajax Systems is an international technology company, Europe's largest developer and manufacturer of Ajax security systems with smart home capabilities. This is a whole ecosystem of 135 devices, mobile and desktop applications, server infrastructure. R&D is responsible for the development of devices at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA.

Automation Department develops hardware and software complexes for testing each device in the production process, creates robotic lines for automating assembly and packaging. And also develops software for device firmware and production management, which allows to optimize the time spent on the manufacture of sensors. For this, Python 3 and Embedded C are used.

Task:

- development of electronics with a complex analog part, where an important parameter there is system accuracy;

- writing software for various architectures of microcontrollers;

- writing software for PCs and single-board devices (Orange PI, Raspberry PI) in the areas of: digital processing of analog signals, drivers for of peripheral devices, network protocols, high-level logic of a distributed application, work with GUI frontend (QML), work with DB, software for managing mechanics (understanding the flow of physical processes);

- interaction with a team of designers to implement the mechanics of a specialized equipment;

- checking and adjusting the developed electronics, assembled equipment;

- creating documentation describing the operation of the developed devices.

Necessary knowledge and skills:

- technical education;

- experience in development and adjustment of analog devices;

- commercial experience in development under 32-bit microcontrollers;

- ability to use version control systems, such as git;

- ability to use a soldering station (assembly of elements 0402), oscilloscope;

- creation of electronics documentation using CAD;

- fluent understanding of technical documentation in English.

Will be a plus:

- work experience in Altium designer;

- basic knowledge of Python (if there is no such experience, be ready to learn);

- commercial experience of developing OOP projects;

- commercial experience in developing projects that will last for a long time and are worked on by a team of at least three people;

- understanding the requirements and needs of mass production of electronics.
