DescriptionOur client is a leading global specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance.ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate complex software for technical and integration areas of the Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation including the following activitiesCommunicate regularly with the business analyst to interpret, clarify and plan for the implementation of user storiesPropose integration solutions and estimate integration effort required for user story requirementsDevelop integration solutions including Batch processes, Message Queues, Workflows, and Event Messaging and Message QueuesDevelop integration solutions with 3rd party solutions / systemsKnowledge of XML, JSON and SQLCreating new data model elements and extending the existing applications data model with new propertiesManaging application configuration and performing minor/major software upgradesEstablish and execute traceable unit and integration tests (automated as to be agreed)Execute the development & ensure the successful completion of assigned user stories for each sprintUnderstand and apply industry practices, architectural standards and department policies and procedures relating to work assignmentsRequirements5+ years of experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and at least one full product implementation. GL or PL experience strongly preferredExpertise in Guidewire APIs, GX Model and Product ModelsJava development experience4+ years` Guidewire Integration experienceKnowledge of Guidewire integration concept: Batch Processing, Message Queues and Event ProcessingKnowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance preferredUpper-Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B2+)Knowledge of secure software developmentAdvanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming conceptsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong initiative; able to self-manage.
