Project Description:Alinea International has been contracted bythe UKGovernment toestablish astrategic communications support platform. This platform will support Ukraine government communications activities and priorities byassembling top talent inaformat designed tomeet the increased public demand for transparent communication caused byRussia’s illegal full-scale invasion ofUkraine.About the Work:The Graphic Designer will ensure all activities are delivered in time and are appropriately documented. S/he is expected to work closely with the Social Strategist in Ukraine and participate in relevant project meetings and understand the intent of communications campaigns originating from state stakeholders. The broad scope under this position includes the following components:The Role:Create original graphic communications content using various media, including digital and non-digital platforms, incollaboration with official stakeholders via their respective distribution channels.Produce and edit videos for key stakeholders, ensuring titles, subtitles, music, and other elements enhance the overall message.Amend/update/rework existing graphic communications content supplied bythird parties tobeoptimized for arange ofofficial distribution channels.Coordinate with subcontractors, assigning tasks related todesign and video production, and ensuring adherence tobrand style guidelines.Conduct research todevelop official ’styles’ for cross-government communications content, ensuring consistency and effectiveness inconveying messages.Demonstrate astrong understanding ofcultural appropriation considerations, incorporating regional and political sensitivities into communications content design and creation.Adapt graphic materials tosuit various formats for social media platforms, ensuring maximum impact and engagement.Collaborate with the Social Strategist todevelop visually compelling content for digital platforms, aligning with overarching communication objectives.Create diverse types ofdigital designs, including infographics, quotes, announcements, presenations and other visual assets, tosupport communication goals effectively.Required Qualifications:3+or more years ofprofessional experience asaGraphic Designer, Motion Designer, orrelated role within the industry.Aportfolio ofrecent work that can bepresented toaselection panel during the interview process. The portfolio should showcase your individual design and video work rather than collaborative efforts.Previous experience instrategic orgovernment communications projects isadvantageous, with demonstrated examples inyour portfolio.Demonstrated initiative-taking attitude, with aproactive approach toproblem-solving and project execution.Proficient inarange ofdigital design software.Have access toyour own design kit and equipment.Great knowledge inAdobe Photoshop/Adobe Premiere Pro/Illustrator/Figma/Canva/etc. Programs.Understanding ofcreating viral designs and videos and experience initwill beanadvantage.Evidence ofeducation ingraphic design orvideo would beanasset.Fluency in Ukrainian written and spoken, proficiency in English is desired.Please send your CVs and Cover Letters to: [email protected] no later than 19th of April.Alinea is committed to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
