About Us:Bequest is a seed-stage legal tech company. We build end-to-end solutions for trust and estate lawyers, banks, and wealth managers. We are pushing for a series A in the next 12 months.Job Description:Are you a full-stack engineer who loves to build and ship fast? Do you thrive in a high-energy, talent-dense environment? If so, we want you on our team! We're looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer with a track record of building complex web apps alone or with a small team. We are looking for someone who loves to learn and is able to solve any problem thrown at them!Key Responsibilities:Frontend: Design and build complex web apps using React, design libraries (like Chakra UI) and state management tools (like Redux or Context)Backend: Use Typescript, Node and NestJS/Express to build a REST APIDatabase: Design database schemas using Prisma and PostgresQLInfrastructure + CI/CD: Use Docker, Terraform and Google Cloud, Github Actions to deploy our applications Required Qualifications:Deep understanding of Typescript (we use it everywhere!)3+ years designing and developing Frontend applications using React3+ years developing Backend APIs using NodeJS Experience using SQL databases and designing schemasFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and DockerBuilt production-grade apps with a high bar of qualityStrong problem solving skills, high agency and resourcefulNice to Have:Love Hackathons!Have been an early-stage engineerExperience working on a Monorepo Experience working with cryptography (RSA, AES)You will thrive at Bequest if you can own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up knowledge you're missing to get the job done.
