Full-stack Developer (Django/React) in Devico

We are looking for a motivated and talented Full-stack Developer with commercial experience of at least 5 + years to join our team on a full-time basis.

About project:

Our project involves developing software tailored for ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, based in Europe. This software enables organizations to effectively monitor, analyze, and improve their ESG performance, facilitating compliance with regulatory standards, enhancing transparency, and driving sustainability initiatives. 

We use Google Cloud Platform for our cloud provider and PostgreSQL as our database but this is almost a detail as we don't interact a lot with GCP (usually to see logs for errors) and Django abstracts a lot of PostgreSQL specificities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable features using Django and React.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.

• Take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion within specified timelines.

   

Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Django and React frameworks.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related libraries (e.g., Redux).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Solid grasp of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Would be a plus:

• Experience with ESG or sustainability-related projects.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools.

• Understanding of security best practices in web application development.
