About the project: Develop an MVP version of the mobile education app tailored for Kuwaiti students, incorporating gamification to enhance their learning journey.

Project term: 2 months (July — August)

The main stack on the project: Flutter, Firebase, Google Cloud

What is important to us in you within this position?

• 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js;
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with Google Cloud services, including Firebase, Cloud Functions, and Firestore.
• Proficiency with database systems such as SQL and NoSQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Significant contributions to large-scale projects
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with mobile app backend development and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Among your responsibilities will be:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Node.js based admin/CMS and mobile app endpoints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Design and implement high-performance, secure, scalable, and reliable backend services.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous team improvements.
