Wizer Training is a Boston based B2B cybersecurity e-learning company with, 10000+ companies from all over the world using it. Our mission is to make cybersecurity knowledge engaging and available to everyone around the world! We approach online security training in a unique and modern way, using microlearning techniques, engaging content, video materials, games and phishing simulators.

Who we’re looking for
As a software engineer, proficient firstly in frontend (React, Redux, ES6).
You will be a part of a cross-functional team that works in an Agile environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to work with the e-learning web app that is used by thousands of our end users. Additionally, to hard skills, you should have a good eye for detail and basic (or more) understanding of UX principles.

Responsibilities:

• UI Development and Optimization: Crafting high-quality and interactive interfaces based on provided design mock-ups and specifications. Writing tests, working with Storybook.
• Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing: Ensuring code compatibility across various web browsers and devices, ensuring consistent user experience.
• Performance Optimization: Analyzing and optimizing code to improve web application loading and rendering speeds, as well as ensuring high performance across different devices.
• Collaboration with Backend Team and Frontend Team: Working closely with backend developers to integrate frontend solutions with the server-side and ensure seamless data exchange. Code review for Frontend team.
• Maintenance and Code Updates: Refactoring and modernizing existing code, debugging, and ensuring the frontend part of the web application remains current, reliable, and bug-free.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Design thinking;
• Third-party libraries;
• State management (Redux, RTK Query);
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS (SCSS) Material UI;
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+/TypeScript);
• Next.js — will be a plus;
• 1 year hands-on experience developing commercial software;
• Knowledge of Git and Git Flow;
• Familiarity with web standards, accessibility, and UX will be a plus;
• REST API.

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, React testing library);
• Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, KISS principles;
• Experience with task tracking systems (Jira);
• Good communication skills.
