First line IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to resolving IT issues. Key Technical Skills

  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows 11, including deployment of Windows 11 laptops.
  • Active Directory: Experience in user account creation, password resets, and managing group policies.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
  • Security: Handling antivirus updates (e.g., CrowdStrike, DLP), managing firewalls, and monitoring automated backup logs.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitoring: Track device health, apply patches, and monitor status.
  • SLA Management: Resolve support tickets within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA) and escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams as needed.
  • Hardware Support: Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Patch Management: Deploy security patches and software updates throughout the network.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain records of physical assets and inventory.

Education & Certifications

  • Higher education (degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is considered as advantage)

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for efficient troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar IT support role.

Preferred Skills (Strong Advantage)

  • Experience with CITRIX client.
  • Understanding of VPN clients and two-factor authentication.
