The international charitable organization "SOS Children's Villages Charitable Foundation" is looking for a qualified and experiencedFinancial Directorwith experience working in a charitable non-profit organization

Requirements for candidates:

• Higher education in the field of finance.
• Experience of working in a similar position or in other managerial positions in the field of finance from 5 years. Experience working in the charity sector will be a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of international financial management standards. Knowledge of IFRS/ IAS.
• Knowledge of the order and forms of financial calculations, accounting, necessary reporting on the financial activities of the organization, the order and terms of its preparation.
• Successful experience in budgeting and planning.

• Excellent knowledge of financial law, tax legislation and legislation in the field of accounting.
• Understanding the peculiarities of working with institutional donors. 
• Experience in managing financial flows.
• Experience in team management.
• High level of analytical and communication skills.
• High level of English language proficiency ( oral and written) not below the Intermediate level, for regular communication with international colleagues. 
• Experience in preparing financial reports in English.
• Knowledge of the MS Office package, especially Excel.
• Willingness to work with a large volume of work, information and financial reporting at the expense of variety of sources of income and destination of donor funds.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Management of the organization's budget and financial planning. 
• Interaction with the national, regional and international offices of the organization on matters related to financial planning and reporting.
• Monitoring of financial activities, analysis of key financial indicators (budget funds utilization, liquidity, etc.) , risks, preparation of reports.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting requirements, including the current legislation of Ukraine and the international organization "SOS Children's Villages".
• Development and updating of financial policies and procedures in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine and international organization standards.
• Control of the distribution of donor funds in accordance with international standards and guidelines.
• Conducting negotiations with banks and other financial institutions.
• Managing the operational and financial department and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
• Conducting financial transactions simultaneously in several accounting systems (BAS, Microsoft Navision, D365). 
• Ensuring continuous planning of all cash flows of the organization.
• Preparation of requests for transfer of funds to the international office, donors; control of the redistribution of funds.
• Implementation of the internal control policy of the organization.
• Monitoring compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations and risk management system.
• Active participation in preparation and writing grant projects, analysis of financial plans andbudgets.
• Ensuring the process of passing external audits and implementing audit recommendations.
• Preparation of annual financial reports, etc.
