Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC offers vital and life-changing assistance to refugees forced to flee war or disaster. Working today in more than 40 countries and 22 US cities, we are restoring safety, dignity and hope to millions of uprooted people struggling to survive. IRC leads the way from danger to home. IRC has been present in Ukraine since 2022 and works in regions and districts where internally displaced persons live, as well as in communities close to the front line, with an emphasis on integrated protection (CP, WPE PRoL), health care and ERD programming. Increasing the use of cash and delivery through partners are two of the key strategic ambitions of the program in Ukraine. The goal and objectivesThe scope of work is to organize cash assistance and distribution of funds for a) the Child Protection Department (CP) and b) protection and empowerment women, (WPE), outcome interventions for IRC, CP and WPE, and case management teams. As well as update the necessary tools and resources in the country for the relevant sectors and unify the monetary interventions of all IRC Protection Divisions based on the expertise of the IRC Protection Supremacy Division (PROL Team). During the 8-week deployment period, the focus will be on working closely with the IRC Protection Teams (Protection and Rule of Law, Protection of Children and Protection and Empowerment of Women) regarding: Update of the IRC Project Implementation Note(PIN) based on IRC PROL experience, as well as the IRC global PIN-/Standard Operation Procedure which provides Cash for Protection CaseManagement, and expand scope to include child protection (CP) and women's protection empowerment (WPE), including internal referral processes.Adapting CP and WPE funding component for protection in case management programs - adapt and develop tools where necessary , based on IRC Global and PIN of Ukraine. Development and implementation of 3-day protection training taking into account specific strategies for all 3 protection departments (WPE, CP and PROL). Training participants - IRC employees of the Child Protection Department, PROL and WPE employees, partners and other relevant stakeholders - Expected results: Update of PINUkraine for case protection, includes all 3 protection departments, (CP, PROL and WPE), based on internal training, Global IRCPIN rating for defense case/SOP and includes internal referral processes. All tools/applications and resources related to measures in Ukraine (PROL/CP/WPE) are developed, adapted and refined for efficient and effective use of funds for conducting defense cases in 3 directions (based on IRC global recommendations). The cash training package for VPRU (CP/PROL/WPE) is finalized and provided before the start of the training. Employees of IRC Ukraine Protection, WPE and CP and relevant managers are trained on the use of the Cash for Protection PIN code Case ManagementKey working relationships The position reports to: Senior coordIntegrated Protection Coordinator Other internal and/or external contacts: works closely with Child Protection Technical Consultants, WPE, PROL and ERD for overall technical alignment, as well as Child Protection Technical Coordinators, WPE, PROL and ERD, UN, Government, local partners, INGOs, guardians and children, others as needed.Job Qualifications:Education: Master's degree/postgraduate degree in finance, social sciences, social work, public health, child rights, child development and/or other relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Work experience :Minimum of 6 years of experience in the development and/or management of monetary programs, especially those related to child protection. This is a serious requirement in terms of humanitarian or international development. Experience in development, monitoring and evaluation of technical resources, as well as research is highly desirable. Financial and child protection experience, and working across sectors or disciplines, is highly desirable.Demonstrated skills and competencies:Demonstrated experience in strategy development, program design, monitoring and evaluation, with the ability to translate concepts and strategy into measurable action. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to updating and maintaining currency through best practices. Language skills: fluency in English. Ukrainian language is an added advantage. All IRC staff are required to adhere to the IRC Way Standards of Professional Conduct, the IRC Country Employment Policy and the IRC Principles of Gender Equality, Diversity and Equality.
