Energy financial analyst in Nova poshta

What needs to be done:

• Form the annual budget of energy resources (electricity, diesel fuel for generators, fuel for the car fleet) in quantitative and monetary indicators with details to the centers of responsibility and facilities;
• Prepare and update operational plans for electricity and fuel consumption every month, taking into account seasonality, facility work schedules and market prices;
• Form weekly and monthly forecasts of energy costs for budget planning and liquidity management;
• Control the correctness of actual costs in the accounting system during period closing (comparison of quantitative indicators and financial data);
• Conduct factor analysis of budget deviations (influence of supplier price and consumption volumes);
• Ensure quantitative accounting of energy resources and monitor fuel balances;
• Analyze the specific consumption of energy resources to identify overspends;
• Control the efficiency of fuel and electricity use, identify anomalies and possible abuses;
• Calculate the economic effect of energy efficiency measures and monitor their payback;
• Analyze the market of electricity and fuel suppliers, prepare financial calculations for tenders;
• Prepare analytical reports and recommendations for guidance on optimizing energy costs;
• Participate in automation of reporting and implementation of analytical dashboards;
• Initiate and implement improvements in energy accounting and control processes.

We expect from you:

• Full higher education in the field of economics, finance, applied mathematics, engineering or related areas;
• Experience as an analyst of 3 years or more (financial, business or operational analysis);
• Experience in budgeting, planning and cost analysis;
• High level of mastery of Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, work with large arrays data);
• Basic knowledge of mathematical statistics and analytical methods;
• Skills for preparing analytical reports and presentations;
• Ability to analyze business processes and find opportunities to optimize costs.
