What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Qualified accountant or relevant university degree.
• In-depth knowledge of the bank’s systems/structures and Knowledge of Basel II / risk management.
  
• In-depth knowledge of financial principles (IFRS), financial accounting and control.
• Knowledge of central bank regulations, Strong analytical ability and Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge / appreciation of statutory & regulatory reporting requirements, be able to follow processes independently and apply controls to ensure compliance with these.
• Excellent English both written and verbal, very good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel and preferable VBA).
• At least 3 years of experience in a professional work environment (ideally Financial Services or Banking). Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

,[Responsibility for preparation of regular BAU financial and management accounting reports in line with reporting deadlines. , Develop basic business reporting capability by performing analysis such as identifying variance or target variables. , Support manager and experts, develop capability to produce more ad hoc and complex reporting. , Perform controls through the extraction, processing and reconciliation of financial data as per the tasks allocated. , Perform review of tasks allocated as a reviewer. , Address and respond to ad hoc queries from wider internal stakeholders, escalate more complex queries to appropriate level team members. , Undertake all work performed within the control and governance framework as per the tasks allocated., Support team managers in tasks review and transformation deliveries and Communicate with in-country Finance sub-function counterpart regularly regarding queries and challenges on the data as agreed with the team manager.]
