Helvetas applies a nexus approach, engaging civil society, government, and the private sector.
In Ukraine, Helvetas implements programmes for economic recovery and development and supports the rehabilitation of housing and water infrastructure in communities. Our solutions are grounded in strong analysis of Ukraine’s labour market and economic trends, ensuring effective, sustainable and scalable approaches to recovery.
Helvetas currently operates in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions and plans to expand its activities. Working at multiple levels, Helvetas collaborates with national and local authorities, businesses, and a network of civil society partners to deliver on its objectives.

Activities are aimed at implementing economic recovery and development initiatives, sustainable infrastructure, and supporting humanitarian aid programs.
Helvetas uses a multi-level approach, involving civil society, the government and the private sector.
Helvetas activities in Ukraine are aimed at implementing economic recovery and development programs. In addition, Helvetas works on the sustainable restoration of housing and water infrastructure in communities. Helvetas forms its solutions based on deep analytics of the Ukrainian labor market and economic trends, providing effective, sustainable and scalable solutions for the recovery of Ukraine.
Helvetas currently operates in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions and plans to expand its activities. Establishing work at different levels, Helvetas cooperates with national and local authorities, business, and also builds a partner network of public organizations to implement tasks.
Main duties:
Checking financial reports and supporting documents of partner organizations.
Preparation of bank and cash payments.
Checking and controlling bank statements and signing cash books by the 5th of each calendar month;
Ensuring timely month-end accounting, including counting cash and reconciling bank accounts;
Checking and approval of purchase requests, approval of payments by the financial department;
Development of work procedures for financial work;
Higher education in finance, such as a degree in economics, commerce, finance or business administration.
Basic knowledge of national tax legislation.
Basic knowledge of labor law.
Basic knowledge of budgets and budget monitoring.
Excellent command of the English language (written and orally).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management.
Good knowledge of tender processes and donor requirements.
Proven knowledge of the country's anti-corruption policies and measures and HIS.
Good analytical and conceptual skills.
High responsibility and reliability.
Independence and well-structured work.
Ability to work closely in a multicultural environment.
Ability to work in cross-cultural teams to reach consensus on financial and technical issues.
Readiness for business trips both within the country and abroad.
