About the position
The purpose of this position, based in Chernihiv or Sumy regions, is to support program teams in the practical implementation and evaluation of activities in the areas of Shelter, Education, Protection and Livelihoods through coordination, data collection, monitoring, assistance in organizing events and providing support with documentation, logistics and administrative processes. It is also expected to support teams in the search and preparation of funding applications.
Main duties and responsibilities
Coordination and communication
- Regularly interact with program managers, program manager and other team members, providing support in the implementation of activities in the areas of Shelter, Education, Livelihoods and Protection;
- Represent PIP in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, maintain regular communication with local authorities, relevant organizations, partners and beneficiaries;
- Coordinate the implementation and support of project activities in the region;
- Ensure regular exchange of information between all interested parties;
- Coordinate the work of involved consultants, contractors or volunteers in the region;
- Coordinate planning, documentation and logistics support team and partner visits to the region.
Data collection, monitoring and reporting
- Support field data collection and needs assessment for project planning, monitoring and evaluation and feedback from beneficiaries;
- Prepare key reports on project implementation as perto donor requirements.
Project implementation and management support
- Provide data for budget planning and cost estimation upon request;
- Together with the team, monitor progress, challenges and key events of project implementation;
- Organize project events and meetings, prepare presentations;
- Participate in reviewing or modifying projects needs;
- Monitor timely completion of tasks in accordance with goals and plans.
Support project development
- Assist in finding funding opportunities for the region;
- Assist in the preparation of project applications;
- Support data collection and provision of regional materials.
Requirements for candidate
- Have the opportunity to live and work in the region;
- Have a valid driver's license and experience driving a car with a manual transmission;
- Have a higher education in a relevant field (social sciences, international relations, development, political science, education, etc.);
- Have at least 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector;
- Have experience in a similar positions (field specialist / project coordinator / project assistant);
- Have knowledge of project cycle management;
- Be adaptive, proactive, responsible, able to work under pressure;
- Fluent in Ukrainian and have satisfactory knowledge of written and spoken English;
- Have strong organizational and coordination skills skills;
- Be a confident user of basic IT tools (Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office);
- Be ready for business trips around Ukraine.
