HEKS/EPER helps improve the living conditions of people in Switzerland and around the world, claims their rights, and to this end, mobilizes and raises awareness on the part of society, policy-makers, business and churches.Therole of the manager involves utilizing allocated resources (human, material, and financial) within their operational office to oversee the daily management of all dimensions of HEKS operations in the designated geographical area. This includes financial, administrative, logistical, and, most importantly, operational aspects.Therefore, we are looking with starting as soon as possible or by arrangement for a proactive and experienced:Field Operation Manager, East Ukraine, 100%Your main responsibilities:On a day-to-day basis, this entails appropriately deploying resources through meticulous planning and execution, ensuring accurate transmission and understanding of instructions and information for operational conduct, and safeguarding the physical integrity and security of deployed assets and personnel.Key responsibilities of the Field Operation Manager encompass:Developing operational and support planning, ensuring its logical and secure execution in line with operational directivesEquitably allocating means and resources provided for the operationEffectively assigning tasks to various human and material resources involved in operation execution, fostering mutual collaborationResponsible for executing the Programme's overall strategy in his/her area of interventionUnder the guidance of the country headsof the relevant departments (Program Unit, Support Services Units or Tactical Support Unit), deploys all adequate tools that will allow project monitoring, programmeline follow-up and compliance with HEKS-EPER policies and frameworks, and the respect of contractual obligations towards donorsContribute with relevant technical expertise to the design and implementation of programme interventionsEnsures that the programs in the designated areas are implemented in accordance with the approved proposal and requirement of donors‘ and HEKS-EPER strategy, policy and technical requirementsKeepsanoverview of the programme budget for his/her geographical area of intervention and proposes the best ways of operations and operational efficienciesIn collaboration with theGrant Managers, MEAL ManagersandProgram Managers, contributing to the development of the operational strategy in line with the HEKS-EPER policies and the emergency population's needs in the designated areasContributing to the new project’s conceptions in collaboration with Grant Manager and ProgrammeManagerActing as the field relay for day-to-day overall supervision of program field teams and support services units (finance, logistic and administration)Participating in recruitment of the field staff inthedesignated areasPromoting capacity building for the teamPromoting the commitment to HEKS-EPER internal policies and inform theCountry Directorincase of grievancesEnsures that the field teams inhis/her designated areas provide MEAL team and Grant manager with all relevant monitoring, evaluation and reporting documents requestedLiasing with regional and local authorities, relevant partners and stakeholders, UN and NGOs at local and regional levels inhisdesignated areas in order to build synergies and strengthen coordination of the humanitarian activitiesCollaborating (in close collaboration with the Security Coordinator) to the overall security situation (monitoring the security environment; ensuring the application of procedures; managing any security incidents) at the field levels in the designated areasEnsuring all reporting requested by HQ/Donors is performed on time and efficientlyTo be successful you bring:Master degree in humanitarian project management or other relevantMinimum 3 years of experience from working as a Senior Manager in a humanitarian contextPrevious experience from working in complex and volatile contextsExcellent communication skills as well as strong writing and reporting skillsPromote capacity building and are able to help your team members progress and gain autonomyOral and written English is mandatory, Russian and/or Ukrainian is an added valueWhat you can expect from us:An international position with a duty station in the Sloviansk, Ukraine, with regular field visitsAn opportunity to make a difference in this worldAn interesting and challenging positionDuration 6 months (possible extension)Competitive salaryAccommodation provided by HEKS/EPERR&R after 3 monthsInsurance packageWould you like to join the HEKS/EPER team?
