Since 2016, arche nova has been actively working in Ukraine, supporting the affected population of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. With the outbreak of full-scale war in February 2022, arche nova expanded its aid program in Ukraine in response to an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.

Position description
Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (Coordinator), the Field Engineer is responsible for the on-site implementation of measures related to the water, sanitation and hygiene sector, restoration of social infrastructure, as well as the provision of necessary non-food goods within the framework of the implementation of arche nova program activities in Ukraine.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Verification, monitoring and control of the implementation directly in the places of implementation of the program activities of measures related to social security, the restoration of social infrastructure, as well as the provision of necessary non-food goods.
- Performance of regular technical supervision and acceptance of construction and assembly and restoration work on the ground, including contractors and partner organizations, to ensure high quality of the work performed and compliance with the conditions in accordance with the technical tasks.
- Management of document management, including the compilation, collection and verification of the necessary work documentation, including technical tasks, specifications, acts of completed works, personal data of beneficiaries, etc.
- Promoting the establishment of relations and maintaining close cooperation with the community and local authorities in the target areas, by utility companies and other interested parties to achieve maximum efficiency and impact of implemented projects; this includes, in particular, organizing and participating in joint meetings to resolve current issues.
- Regular reporting on the progress of implementation of program activities, including achievements, problematic aspects and ways to solve them.
- Performing other tasks related to functional responsibilities.
Qualification requirements
- Specialist degree or higher in relevant fields (construction,engineering, etc.).
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in execution and supervision of construction works, including necessarily in the field of civil engineering.
- Experience of cooperation with budget institutions, housing and communal services enterprises.
- Knowledge of national building standards and norms, as well as the relevant legislation of Ukraine.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Flexibility and ability to work under stressful conditions.
- Readiness for regular work trips to places of implementation of program measures, guided primarily by safety requirements and access.
- Possible driver's license category "B" with at least 5 years of driving experience.
- English language skills (both written and spoken) preferred.
