GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In partnership with the UN agency refugees The Fund implements a project aimed at the development and implementation of effective strategies for social adaptation of IDPs and integration into communities. 

The position of Social Adaptation Facilitator of IDPs will function within the project "Providing protection and assistance services with shelter for IDPs, returnees and the war-affected population in Ukraine".

The main activity in the position of social adaptation facilitator is strengthening ties with local services, social service providers and the organization of group events to improve the integration of IDPs into communities. The specialist will be guided by the norms of current legislation in the social sphere and work according to the methodology of the BF "Right to Defense".

  • Registration of participants, analysis of their needs;
  • Ensuring communication with communities, local local government and other interested parties;
  • Preparation of reports on the work performed in accordance with the standards of the organization;
  • Development of information measures to improve the adaptation of IDPs;
  • Control of the implementation of quantitative and qualitative indicators of measures;
  • Confidentiality in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine;
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.
  • PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Higher education in social, administrative, pedagogical or related fields will be an advantage;
    • Experience in the social or humanitarian sphere; 
    • Experience of working with internally displaced persons, elderly persons and persons with disabilities
    • Experience in organizing and conducting events;
    • Experience in cooperation with social institutions;
    • Excellent communication skills, responsibility, organization;
    • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
    • Readiness for business trips and work in a dynamic environment;
    • Tolerance to gender, age, religious and ethnic diversity;
    • Ability to speak the client's language;
    • Ability to establish contact with other colleagues and agree on joint tasks;
    • Understanding humanitarian principles.
