"Tenth of April" is a public organization that works to improve the protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs ), the population affected by the conflict, through the provision of legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promotes changes in legislation, the involvement of communities in responding to emergency situations and finding long-term solutions, in cooperation with authorities and supporting their potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups. With the support of Oxfam, the project aims to ensure that women, men, girls and boys affected by the conflict can safely escape the conflict and its consequences and receive appropriate assistance and protection services. What are the duties?
- Dialogue establishment: Development of informal dialogue and communication in the community with in order to better understand the protection needs of vulnerable categories of persons, the social and cohesion problems they may face, as well as their requests for support in capacity building;
- Interviews with the population / Focus group discussions: Agency support UN Refugee Agency, NGO "Tenth of April" and other relevant partners and stakeholders in their activities and conducting assessments, by organizing discussions in focus groups or collecting data necessary for these assessments;
- Identification of persons with with special needs: Support the identification of IDPs with special needs through awareness-raising activities and focus group discussions to identify the risks and threats faced by persons with special needs, refer them to social/protection workers so that such persons can receive access to relevant services;
- Information exchange / referral: Ensuring the dissemination of necessary information on current services and protection issues provided by the UN Refugee Agency or NGO "Tenth of April" as part of training or information materials;
- Involvement of the community: Support for the activities of the UN Refugee Agency, NGO "Tenth of April" and other partners in the organization of meetings and events held between IDPs and host communities; With the support of the UN Refugee Agency and NGO "Tenth of April" establishing/strengthening channels of dialogue with local authorities, civil society and communities to ensure that the needs and rights of IDPs are given due attention and promotion of inclusion;
- Update and reporting: Regularly inform the UN Refugee Agency and NGO "Tenth of April" aboutall issues, questions and updates (including sensitive issues) related to IDPs, in order to ensure that action can be taken in response; this can be done by telephone or any other appropriate means determined in agreement with the relevant facilitators;
- Planning, monitoring and evaluation: Contribute to the development and planning, monitoring and evaluation of the humanitarian response. Facilitators will participate in consultations, analyzes and evaluations conducted by the UN Refugee Agency and the NGO "Tenth of April" to ensure that responses are based on the experiences and feedback of the people concerned;
- Capacity building: Contribute to the strengthening and dissemination of protection-related knowledge, skills and values among displaced and host communities.
What is needed?
- Understanding the importance of humanitarian work and strongly supporting it;
- Adherence to basic humanitarian principles such as humanity, impartiality, neutrality and independence;
- Willingness to help organizations serving IDPs or affected communities, and enthusiasm in providing support to communities;
- Interest and willingness to work in a team;
- Acceptance from interested communities;
- Basic level of literacy;< /li>
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to listen;
- Sincerity, honesty and good reputation;
- Having good social connections in the community;
- To be accessible, open to work in different layers of society without any discrimination;
- Availability of previous work experience; work experience in a similar field related to children, the elderly, persons with disabilities, etc., is an advantage;
