Expert on the protection of children's rights in the Kherson region in ZEST Autsorsing

ZEST Outsourcing is looking for a candidate for the position of "Expert on the protection of children's rights" as part of a temporary project for an international organization dealing with issues of protection and child support 

Main responsibilities:

• Strengthening relations with local authorities in Kherson, especially with the services children", "Service for the provision of social services" and "Prevention of violence in the family". 

• Support for monitoring and reporting on child protection measures and gender-based violence in Kherson.

• Participation in coordination meetings on issues child protection.

• Assessment of places and spaces for compliance with the requirements of child protection, their placement or holding of events. 

• Supporting the regular collection of data on gaps and needs in the field of child protection in emergency situations in cooperation and coordination with partners and the local authorities of Kherson, including through personal meetings. 

to ensure the population's access to necessary services.

• Based on the identified gaps and needs in the field of child protection and combating domestic violence in Kherson, provide recommendations on mitigation measures and additional measures . 

 Requirements for candidates:

• Higher education (bachelor) in the field of social sciences, international law, political science, international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, social work, economics or other related disciplines.

• Work experience of 3 years or more in the field of social protection/child protection and gender-based violence at the national and local levels. 

• Knowledge of the Ukrainian system of child protection and social protection. 

• Experience in developing strategies and action plans in the field of child protection. 

• Experience of working with CSOs, NGOs or INOS on issues of child protection or gender-based violence. 

• Communication experience with national, local authorities and CSOs. 

• Fluency in the Ukrainian language.

• Knowledge of English will be an advantage.
