Expert on issues of inclusion in the field of barrier-free access in Karitas Ukrayini, Mizhnarodniy Blagodiyniy Fond

The international charity fund Caritas of Ukraine is looking for a Inclusion expert in the field of barrier-free access for the project "Complex support of evacuees, IDPs and war-affected communities in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk regions".

Main responsibilities:

1. Participation in meetings and coordination meetings.
2. Coordination with the heads and teams of local organizations.
3. Coordination with the Cluster, international and national organizations, the Government of Ukraine, local and regional authorities, as well as with other interested parties at the request of the program manager.
4. Representation of the Inclusion program in the field of barrier-free access at the national and regional levels, including advocacy in interaction with the Ministry of Social Policy and other stakeholders.
5. Planning and coordination of measures to implement barrier-free environment standards in the activities of the inclusion program, control over them implementation.
6. Assessment of accessibility and accessibility of buildings, spaces, social services and information.
7. Development of methodology, standard operating procedures, materials and educational materials on barrier-free issues.
8. Conducting trainings, workshops and consultations for Caritas teams and partner organizations on the principles of universal design, accessibility, digital and communication barrier-free.
9. Providing methodological and consulting support to employees on the ground in planning and implementing inclusive changes.
10. Supporting the process of developing or adapting programs and spaces in accordance with the principles of barrier-free.
11. Collection of information about the actual needs of inclusion program specialists (at the local level), development of options for solving problems.
12. Collection, analysis and evaluation of the results of activities on the ground.
13. Monitoring the implementation of measures, quality control and effectiveness of implemented solutions in in the field of barrier-free accessibility.
14. Maintaining constant contact with specialists on the ground, exchanging practices and coordinating actions between regions.
15. Preparation of reports, analytical reports, descriptions of achievements and challenges.

Requirements:

• Higher education.
• Experience in the field of inclusion, accessibility, social planning or technical support of changes - from 2 years.
• Knowledge in the field of architecture, urban planning, social work, inclusion, special education, pedagogy or related fields.
• Skills in working with computer programs, in particular Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as programs for conducting video conferences (Teams, ZOOM).
• Fluency in Ukrainian, English is desirable.

Necessaryprofessional skills and personal qualities:

• Understanding the principles of universal design, barrier-free environment, rights of persons with disabilities.
• Knowledge of national norms and international standards of accessibility.
• Experience of conducting accessibility assessment, working with audit tools or with project solutions in the field of inclusion.
• Skills of public presentation, facilitation, moderation.
• High level of independence, ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment, systemic thinking.
• High level of communication skills, ability to work in a team and improve the qualifications of others.
• Responsibility, initiative, ethics.
