OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: 

The New Business Development Coordinator will provide support to the Director of Resource Mobilization and NBD, the NBD< /span>, the Director of PDQ and other program staff in expanding the portfolio of funding and partnerships at the country level to ensure adequate resourcing of the Humanitarian Strategic Plan until 2024. 

To achieve the country's programmatic ambitions under SC Global Breakthroughs, the NBD coordinator will be responsible for managing the application development process and ensuring that the end product is compliant, competitive and timely . He/she will be responsible for leading the planning and preparation process for data collection, as well as for the continuous updating of information that will contribute to the continuous learning and knowledge management of the team. 

He/she is expected to lead the coordination of proposals between technical and operational groups to ensure the development of quality and standard proposals in line with donor requirements. 

Main duties: 

  • In coordination with the NBD Manager and NBD Director, provide resume development support for all opportunities , monitor application acceptance/rejection surveys.
  • Create application development schedules and track deadlines, ensuring and facilitating coordination between teams. 
  • Coordinate the application development process for all funding opportunities with PDQ technical specialists.
  • Provide support in the preparation of non-technical sections of project applications such as capacity description, country context and program experience, drawing on the expertise of technical specialists, MEAL, operational, financial, personnel and security departments.  
  • Provide support in planning and organizing workshops for the development of project applications, as well as facilitating workshops as necessary, including the development of work plans and analysis of lessons learned.  
  • During bid coordination, ensure adherence to bid preparation processes using available NBD tools. 
  • Provide support Director of ResourceMmobilization andBD Manager in strengthening the capacity of country offices for long-term planning to attract key future funding opportunities.  
  • Proactively resolve issues that may impede the application development process 
  • Ensure that all necessary donor and Save the Children resources, templates and tools are available to relevant staff and that donor requirements are clearly understood.
  • Maintain effective knowledge management systems (OneNet, Workplace, Teams, UKR SharePoint, etc.) to support intra-office communication and continuous learning.
  • Ensuring the retention and distribution of all applications and related documents, and collaborating with grant and operations teams to share program results and lessons learned.

To be successful, you need to have: 

  • < span>Experience in an NGO, NGO or non-profit organization and an excellent understanding of operational issues
  • Proven ability to write persuasive, competitive and compliant narrative proposals for institutional donors such as ECHO, OCHA, EU, BHA, USAID and etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and facilitating the development of major proposals for institutional donors, multilateral agencies and/or foundations li>Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues through critical thinking, analysis, defining a clear path forward and providing support.  
  • Highly developed networking skills and the ability to form productive working relationships with a wide range of internal colleagues and stakeholders
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing communication, influencing, negotiating and coaching.   
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs.  Ability and willingness to change work practices and work schedule in the event of an emergency, including traveling without notice and for extended periods of time.
