Help Us Help UA is looking for a dynamic and inspiring leader to lead its activities in Ukraine. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic leadership, operational leadership and ensuring the effective implementation of the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and management:

• Provide strong operational leadership by directing and supervising team members.
• Establish clear roles and responsibilities and delegate tasks as needed.

• Create, support and develop a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
• Coach and mentor team members to improve their skills and performance.
• Ensure effective representation of HUH UA in public forums.
• Establishment and support of strategic partnerships with public organizations, state structures and international donor organizations.
• Management of operational activities of the fund, including programs, projects and financial aspects.

  Administration and Operations:

  • Provide reports to government, board of directors, partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Efficiently manage budgets while ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Oversee human resources functions, including hiring, training and performance management.
  • Conduct strategic planning to drive organizational growth and impact.

  Communication and Advocacy:

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.- Advocate the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Use communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage the organization's communications strategy, including engagement with the public, media and other stakeholders.

  Project Management:

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure effective project execution.
  • Be oriented/ focus on solutions, flexibility, solve problems when they arise.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of projects, ensuring compliance with technical and economic feasibility and achieving the goal.

  Fundraising and Grants:

  • Use fundraising and grant writing skills.
  • Identify and seek funding opportunities to support organizational goals.

  Requirements:

  1. Higher education in the field of management, economic or social sciences.
  2. Work experience in a Ukrainian charity or non-profit organization.< /li>
  3. Fluency in Ukrainian (English a plus).
  4. Certification in project management is a plus.
  5. Strong budgeting and HR skills are essential.
  6. Ability to provide strong operational leadership.
  7. Strategic planning skills.
  8. Ability to build and develop a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  9. Solution-oriented with skills problem solving.
  10. Demonstrated ability to effectively represent the organization in publicrooms.
  11. Computer skills.
  12. Fundraising and effective grant writing skills are desirable.
  13. Understanding the problems and needs of children and youth in Ukraine.
  14. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  15. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  16. High level of ethics, responsibility and professionalism.
