Your missions in a few wordsMain Tasks And Expected Results support the complete alignment of the sector's legislation with the Community acquis; support the Ministry of Energy in its efforts to align the country's energy strategy with climate objectives (nationally determined contribution, long-term strategy, etc.); support the development of carbon-free energies and their integration into the Ukrainian energy mix; encourage projects, exchanges and technical cooperation as part of Ukraine’s connection to the ENTSO-E European electricity network; assist and support the reconstruction of the Ukrainian energy sector, while ensuring that Ukraine’s security and energy independence are strengthened; establish regular dialogue with French companies and industrialists in the energy sectors in particular to highlight their know-how and expertise; Profile soughtQualifications Graduate in a relevant field such as energy, environmental economics and natural resources or climate policy. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field or engineering qualifications will be an added advantage. The candidate must also demonstrate very good knowledge of the energy sector (in particular gas, civil nuclear, renewable energies and carbon-free hydrogen), a very good command of crisis and project management in countries at war, a good knowledge of European energy regulations and legislation and more broadly of the energy sector electricity, but also from the French private sector. Fluent English; knowledge of Ukrainian is a plus. Professional Experience Experience in defining or implementing a national or regional energy strategy; Experience in managing projects in countries in crisis or at war Having acquired experience that includes monitoring energy projects, particularly in ENR. Experience in issues of dependence, security and energy resilience; Have exposure to the functioning of export credit agencies and multilateral institutions such as the IFC, the EIB and the EBRD.
