Role purpose:
Consultant /-ka housing/HCV will work mainly in Sumy, reporting to the Save the Children office in Kyiv, and will manage the day-to-day implementation of Save the Children program components the Children" on issues of housing/HCV in Sumy and, if necessary, in other regions of Ukraine.
The Housing/HCV Consultant is expected to represent SCI at the local level. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all housing/HCV activities assigned to him/her are carried out in accordance with Save the Children policies and applicable standards.
Main Responsibilities: /strong>
- Preparation of technical project, estimate, estimate of infrastructure costs WATSAN and damaged structures.
- Participate in procurement committees according to thresholds.
- Carry out the handover of the construction site, regular supervision of all construction objects of the project and evaluation of the progress of work.
- Checking the quality of materials and performance of work for compliance with the requirements of the contract.
- Responsibility for any assessment and analysis at the local level (with partners or internal evaluation within the SC on housing/HCV or interdisciplinary approach) < /span>
- Ensuring that appropriate evaluation, implementation and monitoring systems are in place.
- Negotiating any type of agreement with local authorities where appropriate.
- Participate in any meetings with interested parties (NGOs, local authorities, shelters, meetings of VSG groups) in coordination and with the prior approval of the project manager.
- Preparation and development of status reports as required by management.
- Take an active part in conducting Needs Assessments, joint and multi-sectoral needs assessments, as well as detailed technical and construction assessments (including specifications), drawings, scope of work, pre-construction assessment forms.< /span>
- Support in developing data collection processes, analyzing information and data to meet performance reporting requirements; maintaining files, databases and other archives documenting project progress.< /li>
- Conduct trainings for relevant local NGOs and partners.
- Maintain working partnerships and good communication with representatives of stakeholders in the field of housing and housing.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local NGOs.
Planning and organizing meetings with implementing partners to discuss progress and challenges.

To be successful, you must have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, engineering, architecture or equivalent field.
- Knowledge of the English language (B1)
- Computer knowledge (proficient Word and Excel user)
- Knowledge of national building codes.
- Understanding water treatment technologies.
- The ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation in the mission or in the organization itself.
- Work experience in the social/humanitarian sphere.
- Ability to work in AutoCAD and AVK-5 (or similar)
- Knowledge of local markets in terms of construction and equipment
- Ability to write weekly and monthly reports.
- Commitment to and understanding of JI goals, values and principles, including human rights-based approaches.
