Engineering Lead, Infrastructure in Simulmedia

Simulmedia isseeking anexperienced and strategic Engineering Lead, Infrastructure tojoin our Infrastructure Engineering team. Inthis senior role, you will beresponsible for leading the strategic development and maintenance ofour infrastructure and deployment processes. You will beahands-on leader, driving the adoption ofnew tools and paradigms, and ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability ofour technology stack. This role requires astrong ability tocoach and manage junior team members, fostering aculture ofinnovation and excellence.This position islocated inLviv, Ukraine. The core team islocated inLviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings inthe office.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Infrastructure LeadershipDevelop and implement astrategic vision for our infrastructure, considering new tools, technologies, and paradigms toenhance our systems.Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance ofour DevOps practices, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.Team Management and CoachingCoach and manage junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship tofoster their professional growth.Promote aculture ofinnovation and continuous improvement within the team.Collaboration and OptimizationWork closely with cross-functional teams toensure seamless integration and delivery ofinfrastructure solutions.Continuously optimize infrastructure and resource usage for performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.Monitoring and SecurityImplement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems toproactively detect and respond tosystem issues.Ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations byimplementing security best practices and compliance measures.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree incomputer science, software engineering, orarelated field.6+years ofprofessional work experience ininfrastructure engineering, with aproven track record ofstrategic leadership ininfrastructure and DevOps.Strong hands-on experience indeveloping, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure using technologies such asAWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability tocoach and mentor junior team members.Strong understanding ofsoftware engineering principles, best practices, and security measures.Experience inmultiple programming languages, with proficiency inPython and familiarity with Ruby, Go, and JavaScript.Ability tocommunicate effectively with U.S-based teams and work 11am— 8pm EEST.Bonus Points for:Advanced certifications incloud infrastructure (especially AWS).Deep understanding ofDevOps and SRE philosophy.Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration.Our Tech Stack:Primarily AWS for cloud services.Languages: Python, Ruby, and Go.Databases: Postgres and Redshift.
