< p style="font-style: normal; font-weight: 400">The Department of Information Technologies of the Ukrainian Catholic University is looking for a technical support engineer to join its team. The candidate's responsibilities will include technical support for employees and teachers, control of uninterrupted operation of IT systems of the building, prompt response to service calls. The candidate will report to the Head of Technical Support, but will work with various academic units, departments and individual faculty/staff on a day-to-day basis.

Basic duties:

  • configuration, testing, updating, diagnostics, adjustment of computer and office equipment of university employees;
  • diagnosis and configuration of network Wi-Fi and LAN connections;
  • consulting, training and support of university employees in matters of work with equipment, software and online systems of UCU;
  • technical support of educational programs, seminars, conferences and other events held in the premises of UCU;
  • maintenance of the equipment database (registration, transfer, replacement/update);
  • other tasks contributing achieving the goals of the IT department.

 

Professional knowledge and skills:

  • experience in the administration of operating systems of the Windows, MacOS range, diagnostics and troubleshooting;< /li>
  • experience working with the full range of office equipment (computers, printers, multifunction devices, multimedia projectors, video conferencing equipment , sound systems);
  • knowledge of network technologiesology, principles of computer structure, operation of web services, experience in troubleshooting;
  • knowledge antivirus protection systems;
  • ownership of the MS Office suite, software for online training and photo editors /video;
  • the level of knowledge of the English language is Intermediate.

Additional benefits will be:
