Embedded Wi-Fi Engineer in Ajax Systems

About the project

Ajax Systems is a developer and manufacturer of Ajax security systems with smart home capabilities. This is a whole ecosystem of 135 devices, mobile and desktop applications, server infrastructure. The Ajax line includes control centers with its own RTOS (OS Malevich), motion, opening, flood protection and fire sensors, street and home sirens, an alarm button with a device control function, automation devices.

Every year we demonstrate exponential growth both in the size of the team and in the number of users worldwide. Currently, the company has more than 3,000 employees. And Ajax sensors protect 2,500,000 users in more than 169 countries around the world.

Ajax is now actively developing its own expertise in the development of video surveillance devices, including IP video cameras, network recorders and more, including the use of artificial intelligence for analysis video and audio data in real time.

Knowledge and skills required:

• Understanding and practical experience with WiFi protocols, standards 802.11 and networking stack L1-L4;
• Knowledge of the hard part of Wi-Fi, be able to supply TK for Wi-Fi binding (attenuators, FEM, coordination) and conduct a review with the hardware development team;
• Wi-Fi software support - driver integration in Linux and RTOS (Soft MAC and Full MAC) using C/C++ in an embedded environment;

• Practical skills in working with sniffers, conducting Wi-Fi tests according to various metrics;
• Experience in various Wi-Fi use cases, such as multimedia streaming;
• The ability to work independently, but in cooperation with a team.

It will be a plus:

• Education and work experience in the field of electrical engineering, computer science;

• Knowledge of the theory of radio waves, antennas;
• Practical experience in developing embedded systems.

Tasks:

• Research, implementation and improvement of Wi-Fi solutions in Ajax products - from scratch to release;
• Communication with related teams during product development to assess the impact and optimize Wi-Fi performance
• Conducting tests, finding ways Wi-Fi improvement, preparation for certification.
