Embedded Radio Engineer in Ajax Systems

Ajax Systems isafull-cycle company working from idea generation and R&D tomass production and sales. Wedoeverything: weproduce physical devices (the system includes many different sensors and hubs), write firmware for them, develop the server part and release mobile applications. The team isdistributed among 2offices inKyiv and Lviv, all technical and product decisions are made locally.Ajax already released and continuously improves MalevichOS, which isaheart ofour Hub’s. Now weare looking for Embedded Radio Engineers who are ready tomake our system better withus. Forus never could beenough: there are still alot ofnew functionality, sensors, features tomake our system even cooler.Required skills:Proven experience inshort range devices development for commercial products;Understanding wireless technologies (e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, NB-IoT) and protocols stack;Work withRF tools tocapture, transmit and analyzeRF signals from/to radio broadcast. Vector network analyzer, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, software defined radio;Knowledge about circuit/block design ofRF receiver/Transmitter, frequency synthesizer, mixers, digital signal processing, antennas arrays. Understand interferer and collision inRF, methodology ofresolve conflicts inRF;Understands different modulation techniques (AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, PSK, QAM), understands emitRF spectrums depend ofmodulation, understands receiver sensitivity, budget ofRF channel;Knowledge ofembedded coding techniques, interfaces (e.g. SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, RS485) and subsystems.Would beaplus:Experience with ARM CortexM (STM, Realtek, TIetc);Scripting languages Python, Bash;Commercial experience with specific real-time operating systems;Understanding regulatory ofusage radio frequency;Good hands-on experience ofsoftware engineering fundamentals such astesting, continuous integration, continuous deployment, pull requests and code reviews, source control, work item/issue tracking.Responsibility zone:Participate inthe full embedded software life cycle forRF solutions: choise, design, implementation, code reviews, documentation, testing and validation;Fine tuneRF chips for best performance;Create test environment tovalidate quality gates for radio solutions;Analysis and systematic problem solving for reported issues;Cooperate with electrical engineers toperform verification ofnew hardware from radio perspective.
