Embedded Firmware Engineer in DefTech Agency

What will be included in your duties:

• Creation of flight control algorithms, navigation and stabilization, and other compatible subsystems (power, comms, payload, etc.). 

• Programming interaction with sensors, actuators and communication modules. 

• Integration and support of data exchange protocols and wireless means of communication. 

• Development, optimization and maintenance of embedded software for subsystems of unmanned aerial vehicles. 

• Debugging, modeling and functional testing of software modules in laboratory conditions and during field tests. 

• Ensuring software meets reliability, performance, and security standards. 

• Collaboration with teams of hardware engineers and system engineers for complex implementation of solutions. 

• Participation in the preparation of technical documentation and reporting. 

 

• Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr or similar) and real-time principles. 

• Experience with microcontrollers: STM32, ESP32, Atmel AVR. 

• Knowledge of protocols: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, RS232/RS485, PWM, Ethernet. 

• Experience with: LoRa, LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/GNSS, MIMO. 

• Understanding the operation of UAV onboard systems. 

• Understanding the principles of operation of IMU sensors, GNSS, barometers and other UAV sensors. 

• Working with test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies. 

• Understanding the structure of design documentation in terms of design stages and project maturity level.
