We are hiring the Head of the Training Department
Position duties:
General duties:
- Line management of training department personnel.
- Adherence to NRC policies, instructions and procedures < /li>
- Coordinate and manage the implementation of educational projects (budget, procurement and project documentation) in accordance with proposals, strategies and requirements of donors.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Regional Program Manager and Education Officer.
- Ensure that projects target the beneficiaries most in need of protection, explore and evaluate new and better ways of providing assistance.
- Develop and manage project budgets (in collaboration with Education Coordinators) and coordinate with other key competencies.
- Communicate and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure promotion of the rights of displaced persons in accordance with the advocacy strategy.
- Actively promote standards and principles for the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) in the NRC and among the beneficiaries assisted by the NRC.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for educational activities at the regional level under the direction of the Regional Program Manager and the technical guidance of the Education Specialist.
- Define new programming opportunities, synergies with other departments and partnerships.
- Provide technical leadership and ensure high technical quality of projects.
- Program quality assurance and implementation of the NRC Safe and Inclusive Schools Program, guaranteeingprotection of gender and protective aspects, as well as criteria for safe and inclusive programming.
- Development and management of educational projects at the regional level with an emphasis on NRC work areas: non-formal education, formal education, informal education, first response and youth programs .
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to the educational team. Lead and ensure capacity building of project staff and impart key skills.
- Support the development of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) systems, ensure compliance and proactively coordinate monitoring activities, and accurate data collection and reporting.
- Initiate and conduct new education-related evaluations at the local level in coordination with other QC project managers to ensure synergy and cross-sectoral responsiveness.

- Experience in the formation and expansion of emergency education projects, including conducting assessments and developing response strategies.
- Experience working with local authorities authorities, humanitarian organizations, the host community and the displaced population.
- Experience in using IT tools in assessment, analysis, documentation and reporting.
- Experience in developing proposals, budgets, work plans, monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in capacity building and teamwork with staff and community mobilization.
- Experience in partnership-based approaches, coordination and development of integrated programs.
- Knowledge and understanding of humanitarian standards such as INEE and "Sfera".
- Knowledge of the humanitarian context in Ukraine.
