General information about the role of the employee:
Under the general direction of the (Lead) Project Specialist with of education, the Project Assistant for Education supports the program department, provides support for the implementation of programs to increase access to education in the region, coordinates the work of engineers, specialists and program assistants. Closely cooperates with specialists from other aid sectors and the program administrator.
Typical duties:
- Helps in the implementation of the project in Dnipropetrovsk /Kharkiv region
- Involved in the following activities: 1) restoration of educational institutions, formation of digital-learning centers; 2) improvement of qualifications of participants in the educational process; 3) psychosocial support of participants in the educational process
- Monitors the implementation of the methodology for local facilitators
- Cooperates with consortium partners and other stakeholders
- Responsible for project reporting and archiving of education.
Required experience and qualifications
- Higher education in the field of education
- Desirable work experience in education system
- Experience working in complex and unpredictable environments (preferred)
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Demonstrated patience, enthusiasm and strong personal skills with attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively with team members
- Experience facilitating training
- Computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel) and typing skills in English
