Our activity in Ukraine began in 2014. Since then, we have greatly expanded our geographic presence, providing support to children and families affected by war. We work in areas such as education, child protection, food security and social support, as well as advocacy activities aimed at ensuring lasting change in children's lives.  implementing the program in the field office, as well as supporting the development and implementation of the emergency education program. normal"> 

Program implementation:

  • Manage the implementation of the Collaborative approach to schools in selected schools, including the selection of schools, the selection and management of facilitators, the organization and delivery of training and structured activities for children.
  • Control the purchase and distribution of necessary materials and equipment to ensure the quality implementation of project activities.
  • Conduct regular monitoring visits to schools and project implementation sites, document the results and ensure the implementation of agreed events.
  • Organize educational events, training sessions and familiarization visits for children, teachers and facilitators as needed.
  • Rememberensure the effective operation of digital learning centers for teachers, including supervision of the center leader, organization of events, engagement of stakeholders, promotion of events and facilitation of training. preschool education and other approved activities in accordance with the program.
  • Identify the most vulnerable categories of children in the target communities and coordinate the provision of individual support, including documentation and reporting.
  • Conduct regular working trips to vulnerable communities in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions to implement project activities and ensure field supervision.
  • Support effective communication and coordination with internal teams to strengthen integrated support for children, parents, educators and communities.

Monitoring, training and documentation:

  • Conduct bi-weekly coordination meetings with partners to review progress, challenges and quality of implementation.
  • Monitor activities performed by partners through site visits and documentation review project.
  • Participate in the preparation of periodic program reports, including data collection, analysis and documentation of achievements.
  • Document best practices, lessons learned, examples of practice and success stories obtained during the implementation of projects.
  • Maintain active coordination and informal exchange of experience with other participants involved in educational programs.

General:

  • Support for the translation and adaptation of materials and communication, if necessary. 
  • Participation in trainings, seminars and coordination meetings in order to increase professional competence and promote knowledge exchange. 
  • Representing the organization at meetings with local stakeholders, education authorities and coordination platforms as assigned.  font-weight: 700">To be successful, you must have:

    Education

    • social work, pedagogy, international development or other relevant field. Master's degree preferred.

    Qualifications

    •  Minimum of 2 years of experience working in educational programs in the field of elementary, secondary and/or early childhood education. 
    • Experience of working in an NGO in difficult conditions. 
    •  Experience of conducting trainings for teachers. 
    • Fluency in English and Ukrainian in oral and written form. 
    •  Maturity and experience to effectively build relationships with key NGO and government partners.
    • Experience identifying problems and developing appropriate solutions. 
    •  Strong relationship building, negotiation and interpersonal skills

    Experience (required)

    • Minimum 2 years of experience working in educational programs in elementary, secondary and/or early childhood education. 
    • Experience of working in an NGO in difficult conditions. 
    • Experience of conducting trainings for teachers. 
    • Fluency in English and Ukrainian in oral and written form. 
    • Maturity and experience to effectively build relationships with key NGO and government partners. 
    •  Experience in identifying problems and developing appropriate solutions. 
    •  Strong relationship building, negotiation and interpersonal skills. 
    •  Commitment to and understanding of the mission, vision and policies of Save the Children. 
    •  Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point programs.

    • Good analytical (thinking) skills with the ability to create high-quality analytical reports, case studies. Ability to work under pressure. of Ukraine
