DOU is looking for an Editor & Community Manager (full-time, remote). If you know the Ukrainian language perfectly and have experience in literary editing and proofreading, have experience in community management, and at the same time like to communicate a lot - we will be glad to meet you!
A little about DOU< /h3>
We are the largest community of IT specialists in Ukraine. Our specialty is the active involvement of the community in the development of the IT sphere. We write articles, shoot videos, hold conferences and raise money for the Armed Forces together with the community.
Most of our materials are articles written by IT professionals: technical and non-technical blogs Your task at the position is to develop these blocks, fill them with quality materials. To do this, you will communicate a lot with the community and look for talented authors, improve and distribute their articles in every way.
We are looking for a person who will share our passion to develop together the largest IT community in Ukraine. The job is remote, but the upload is full-time.
What will you do
- Look for new authors and involve them in writing texts.
- Communicate with authors and publish articles : proofread and edit texts, prepare and edit illustrations for them.
- Look for and test ways to distribute articles to a target audience.
- Generate new topics for articles and ideas for author content formats.< /li>
- Look for information sources, quickly create small texts from them for discussion on the Forum, and also think about how to develop these information sources further.
- Build profile communities: communicate with IT users, fill content plan, participate in offline meetups.
- And a lot of other interesting things, because sometimes we sew shark costumes, choose cars in a raffle or invent memes for cool merch. It happens. It's never boring :)
This role is about being proactive, active and results-oriented.
What we expect from you
- You want to understand the IT industry and are ready to get down to the heart of what you write about - this applies not only to blogs, but also to technical articles. If you have worked or are currently working in IT, this is a big plus.
- You speak and write Ukrainian fluently. Perfect literacy and attention to errors and typos.
- You know English at a level sufficient for communicating with foreigners and understanding texts in English.
- You are stress-resistant and flexible, able to work quickly and efficiently.
- You like communication and willing to communicate a lot - business correspondence skills will be an advantage.
- You are proactive, know how to organize yourself, are not afraid to take the initiative.
- You are ready to work full-time and be in touch during working hours.
