Médecins Sans Frontières/ Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international humanitarian organization that provides assistance in more than 60 countries around the world to populations in difficult situations, victims of natural disasters, man-made disasters and armed conflicts, regardless of their race, religion or political beliefs.

The main purpose:

Performing the tasks of transporting authorized cargo and passengers in the MSF vehicle, ensuring its proper technical condition and safe operation, compliance with the traffic rules of the country and the safety rules of MSF to provide safe, uninterrupted and efficient services.

Duties:

• Daily inspection of the assigned vehicle (condition of tires, oil, brakes, radio equipment, etc.) if necessary, it is refueled and washed to ensure its operation in perfect condition. Carrying out a proper handover of the vehicle if it will be used by another employee.
• Ensuring the safety of passengers in the vehicle, driving carefully, observing speed limits and traffic rules in the country, as well as MSF safety rules to prevent road accidents.
• Checking that all passengers have all necessary documents before trip and, before using the vehicle, verifying that non-MSF passengers have signed a waiver of claims against the organization regarding its responsibility for their safety.
• Ensuring proper loading and unloading of the vehicle, submitting documents to the consignee, checking the status of the delivered cargo, returning properly completed documents to the department logistics and ensuring the availability of all necessary documents accompanying the cargo.
• Ensure the availability of all transport documentsproper means and ensure the presence of a valid driver's license in the vehicle.
• Informing the immediate supervisor of any incidents related to the transportation of passengers and/or goods.
• Knowing how to use all types of radio stations, codes, phone numbers and the phonetic alphabet by heart, communicate with the base in accordance with MSF's communication policy to communicate their location and any possible consequences.
• Knowledge and compliance with security regulations related to vehicle movement, including those related to customs, checkpoints and roadblocks. Ensure all passengers are aware of and follow safety rules.

Education:

• Basic education and possession of a valid national driver's license. 
• Proper knowledge of the transport routes of Ukraine.

Experience:

• Mandatory driving experience of at least 2 years.
• Desirable experience of working with specific vehicles (4x4, boats, motorcycles, etc.).
• Desirable experience of working in MSF or other NGO.
• Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations.
