In this role, you will be responsible for generating clear, complete, and accurate product drawings, 3-D models, and bills of material.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesIdentify factors affecting product design by reviewing customer-provided information and participating in design review meetingsUse knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, etc., in developing designs; confer with other departments to ensure integrity and manufacturabilitySubmit preliminary and approval drawing packages to customer for review and make changes/corrections as neededDefine, verify, and update bill of material requirements as drawings are developedEnsure accuracy of work by checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and of various parts to the entire projectNotify appropriate personnel when other activities are ready to be performed during the design process (material updates, design checks, obtaining load calculation certifications, etc.)Submit final (certified) drawing package to customerSubmit fabrication drawings to manufacturing and monitor throughout the manufacturing processEDUCATION And EXPERIENCEExperience: Must have 2 or more years of recent experience using 3-D modeling and drafting software.Education: Associate’s Degree in Drafting Technology or similar field preferred. Competency SummaryMust be proficient with AutoCAD and with at least one of the following: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ProEngineer/Creo, Catia, or Solid Edge.Must have strong attention to detailPre-employment skill tests will be administered. This is a full time position at our plant located in Richland, Mississippi. Local candidates only, please -- remote work and relocation assistance are not available.
