Position Overview:

As a Django specialist, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data management platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to ensure seamless data integration, quality, and security. Responsibilities:

• Platform Development and Enhancement:
  • Design, develop, and optimize Django-based applications and APIs for data management.
  • Implement robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Enhance existing features and contribute to new feature development.
• Database Management:
  • Work closely with database administrators to design and optimize database schemas.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security.
  • Optimize database queries for performance.
• Data Integration and APIs:
  • Build RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange between internal and external systems.
  • Integrate third-party data sources and APIs into our platform.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Performance Optimization:
  • Identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
  • Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices, including data encryption and access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
  • Document code, processes, and architectural decisions.

Experience & Skills Required: 

• Experienced: Minimum 4 Years experience with Django development, Django REST framework
• Strong Python Skills: Proficiency in Python programming, Minimum 4 years commercial work experience 
• Django Expertise: Mastery of Django ORM, class-based views, and template language.
• Data Analytics Tools: Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Dask
• Cloud Platform: Knowledge of platforms like such as AWS, GCP
