In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. With a presence in approximately twenty countries, SI teams — a total of 2,000 people, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent headquarters staff and volunteers — work with professionalism and dedication, while respecting culture.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Humanitarian Aid Distribution Specialist will organize, manage and will evaluate and distribute humanitarian aid according to Solidarites procedures and standards. A specialist in the distribution of humanitarian aid will spend half of the working time in the office, and the other half - meeting with partners or participating in the implementation of humanitarian aid activities.

Responsibilities include:

< strong>Distribution

  • Assist in the organization, planning and preparation of the distribution under the direction of the team leader, including logistical and administrative aspects.
  • Perform distribution tasks with tools of Solidarites International.
  • Ensuring that each registered beneficiary receives their aid.
  • Counting and confirming the number of households and goods distributed after distribution.
  • Collection and replacement of materials used during distribution.
  • Execution of administrative procedures before, during and after distribution.

Reporting/communication

  • Maintain and archive monitoring tools and files at the Solidarites International office for team leader access.
  • Archive distribution cards, censuses and beneficiary lists.
  • Assist in reporting on distribution under the direction of the team leader.
  • Participation in seminars and trainings related to the tasks and objectives of the distribution.
  • Reporting on progress, problems and relations with beneficiaries to the team leader.
  • Communication of any information related to the task, program details or security issues.
  • Communication with local population and authorities to identify potand complaints.
  • Analysis of humanitarian situations taking into account issues of protection and harm avoidance.
  • Cooperation with local administration and authorities.
  • Participation in reporting meetings and clusters request.


REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:

< strong>Oworld: higher education

Experience: knowledge/ work experience in humanitarian organizations will be an advantage.

Knowledge of languages: knowledge of the English language at the Intermediate level and above.

Knowledge of IT programs: fluency in the Microsoft office suite, MS Excel, Office 365.

Personal qualities: ability to work in a team, motivation and proactivity, good organizational skills and ability to analyze the situation. Flexibility, ability to adapt to changing contexts/situations.

Place of work: this vacancy is based in Kharkiv, possible business trips to Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson region 

Contract: fixed-term employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation).

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION 

Under the supervision of the Activity Manager Distribution, the Distribution Officer will organize, manage, and implement field diagnostics and distribution to beneficiaries, in keeping with Solidarites procedures and standards. As a Distribution officer, you will spend 50% of your time in the office and 50% outside of the office to go and meet partners/ participate in the implementation of activities.

Key responsibilities: 

Distribution

  • Assist in logistical and administrative organization, planning, and preparation of distributions under the team leader's guidance.
  • Implement distribution tasks using Solidarites International tools.
  • Ensure each registered beneficiary receives their distribution.
  • Calculate and confirm the number of households served and the quantity of goods distributed post-distribution.
  • Gather and replace materials used during distribution.
  • Follow administrative procedures before, during, and after distribution.

Reporting/Communication

  • Maintain and archive monitoring tools and files at the Solidarites International office for team leader's access.
  • Archive distribution cards, censuses, and beneficiary lists.
  • Assist in drafting distribution reports under team supervisor's guidance.
  • Participate in seminars and training related to distribution tasks and goals.
  • Report progress, issues, and beneficiary relations to the team supervisor.
  • Communicate any task-related information, program details, or safety concerns.
  • Liaise with local population and authorities to identify needs and grievances.
  • Analyze humanitarian situations, considering protection issues and avoiding harm.
  • Collaborate with local administration and authorities.
  • Attend restitution meetings and clusters as requested.


PROFILE FORSAKEN

Studies : A higher education.

Experience : knowledge/ experience of working in humanitarian organizations will be an advantage.

Language : English language at the Intermediate level and above.

IT : fluency in Microsoft Office suite, MS Excel, Office 365.

Soft skills : we expect team spirit, motivation, and proactivity. Strong organizational and situational analysis skills are essential. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing contexts and situations are also required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Place of work: this position is based in Kharkiv, possible business trips to Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions.

Contract: fixed-term contract (according to Ukrainian legislation). 

Type of employment: full-time.

Salary:  1125 EURO gross (paid in UAH according to the monthly rate of the bank of the European Commission). 

Additionally:  paid vacation 31 calendar days, additional paid vacation for family reason, life insurance.
