Forte Group is seeking a Director of Engineering Services Delivery to join our team in Europe. Reporting to the VP of Engineering Services Delivery, you are a key regional leader and driving force in ensuring outstanding Software Engineering Services are effectively rendered from Forte Group's European delivery centers in collaboration with delivery centers located in South and North America. The Director of Engineering Services Delivery is accountable for a portfolio of engagements with varying complexity, from simple projects to the entire Product and Engineering Services Delivery using a scaled Agile model. We expect the Director to be professional enough not only to take over and further maintain the existing engagements but also to design engagements during the initial deal conversations, later kick off from scratch, and manage the transition through interim evolution phases to fully operational end-to -end product delivery. This requires qualification to build, manage, and continuously improve practices such as Product Ownership, Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, Quality Assurance, DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering, Release Management, and Production Support. It also requires an excellent understanding of the Agile models and how all these practices are interconnected. You will have a group of Delivery Managers directly reporting to you. As part of Forte’s global delivery management team, you will work in direct and close collaboration with the CTO Office, Sales Teams, Resource Management, HR BP, Talent Acquisition, and Finance teams. You have a broad leadership background in software engineering services and have a deep passion for empowering engineers to solve big problems with technology. You love building modern, scalable software products and are obsessed with delivering extreme value on time, within budget, and without sacrificing quality. You must understand how to balance the urgency and sensitivity of client delivery with the discipline of properly constructing all stages of commercial-grade software engineering. Apply an agile mindset to all of our delivery engagements.Ensure that the supervised delivery organization works in sync with Forte departments, such as Account Management, Resource Management, HR BP, and Talent Acquisition.Ensure operational transparency, visibility of deliverables, implementation of a data-driven approach to performance and quality management, rationalization of added value, and organization and running of regular business review sessions, e.g., QBRs.Own operational KPIs: revenue, profitability, quality of service, staff turnover etc. Engineering Operations - build a top notch software engineering organization at scale.We are working towards our goal of becoming a company of 3,000 people in a few years. Qualifications:A successful, proven track record in a software engineering services company, leading organizations of +200 people and delivering client engagements of +50 people each.Evidence of progressive career in the software engineering services domain, from technical positions e.g., as Software Engineer, QA, Team Leader to senior managerial rolesExtensive experience leading mature B2C and B2B software platform development that operate on the market update regularly and directly generate or enable an essential share of revenue for their businesses.Experience setting up and executing career development and professional growth practices in engineering organizations, in collaboration with HR and Resource Management teams, knowledge of OKR, SFIA, CoP, etc. frameworks.Experience leading engineering teams through FSNP cycle, setting up software engineering teams for success at scale using structured models, e.g. SAFe, Spotify, or a balanced combination of elements from these.Experience of successful project management practices implementation in an Agile environment.Strong delegation and prioritization skills.Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.Ability to attract, build into teams, and retain the best engineering talent.
