Design Lead in Hacken OU

The Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Design Lead to create visually compelling assets that enhance Hacken’s brand presence across various digital and print platforms. Creativity, collaboration, and attention to detail contribute to conveying the company’s message effectively, engaging audiences, and supporting business objectives.

What you will do:

• Take responsibility for the implementation of the brand visual strategy and control visual consistency across digital and marketing touchpoints for the product portfolio;
• Ensure all the design materials (including merch) are aligned with Brand identity and everything a user touches looks modern, attractive, polished, and easy to use;
• Manage and coordinate the global team of designers, mentoring junior-mid level designers as well as hands-on and work on design tasks yourself;
• Lead the development of highly engaging and visually impressive creative design materials;
• Work on the brand book improvements and adaptation for various creatives;
• Manage and oversee the creation of all kinds of materials: websites, social media, events, merchandise, videos, illustrations;
• Research and ideate fresh design concepts for improving the level of design in marketing communication;
• Work on a redesigning implementation for the products;
• Working with Marketing and Product teams as stakeholders to deliver the best solutions according to the deadlines;
• Take ownership of projects, from concept to completion;
• Oversee project workflows, resource allocation, and timelines;

To achieve the results, you’ll need:

• 5+ years of design experience;
• Experience working with branding and identity design;
• Mastery of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and proficiency in other specialized design software;
• Advanced skills in web design, including interaction design and prototyping, proficiency in collecting web analytics;
• Expertise in print production processes, including color management and file optimization;
• Skill in composition, typography, and design;
• A high degree of ownership and responsibility is also required;
• Familiarity with 3D design software and basic modeling techniques;
• Skills in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects;
• Mastery of layout design, including complex compositions and grid systems;
• Project Management skills;
• Capacity to lead and grow a team of designers;
• Upper-intermediate English level (B2);
• Knowledge of Web3 design trends is a big plus;
