Job Description

Deputy The gender-based violence (GBV) manager will work closely with GBV program leaders to support the implementation and monitoring of GBV program activities, including support and training for staff and/or local partners.

  • Support evaluation of the HSE program as needed, maximize available sources of information and opportunities for coordination, and ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards.< /li>
  • Establishing relations with government focal points, local partners and women's organizations to promote the protection of women's and girls' rights and solving issues related to GBV.
  • Development of concept notes/proposals/appeals for as necessary.
  • Implementation and capacity building:

    • Work closely with the HSE Manager and program team to achieve program goals and ensure the quality of prevention and response initiatives GZN.
    • Monitor the implementation of interventions in accordance with the program.
    • Identify and build relationships with local partners.
    • Build the capacity of program staff and partners in relevant technical areas to provide services and leading interventions.
    • Control systems for information management.
    • Cooperate with partners, government and community representatives.
    • Ensure effective community participation during program implementation, including the leadership of women and girls. 

    Coordination, Representation and Advocacy:

    • Coordination with other service providers and stakeholders to establish and strengthen referral systems. 
    • Participation in relevant coordination meetings. 
    • Coordinating with other sectors to ensure the integration of GHG issues into various services. 
    • Present the goals and standards of the program for combating illegal activities. 

    Personnel management:

    • Support program staffing. 
    • Support, train and supervise program staff. 
    • Develop staff support strategies, promote team building and support self-help principles. 

    Monitoring and reportingст:

    • Collaboration with local partners for reporting. 
    • Control of program monitoring. 
    • Help develop reports, timely and accurately. 

    Financial management:

    • Develop work plans according to financial channels. 
    • Plan and purchase goods necessary for program activities in accordance with the project budget and deadlines. 
    • Ensuring compliance with donor rules. 

    Security and Conduct:

    • Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies. 
    • Consider security implications for all program activities by reviewing initiatives with relevant stakeholders. 
    • Contribute to a safe and conducive working environment for all employees and partners in the fight against GZN. 
    • Demonstrate the core principles of the GBV program, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of power, non-violence and promotion of gender equality. 
    • Contribute to a positive image and overall credibility of the program and organization, particularly through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including compliance with the Anti-Harassment, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Policy.

    Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in field or relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in related field. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the core principles of the GBV program, including gender equality and support services targeting people affected by violence. 
  • Experience in program management. 
  • Experience in providing assistance to people affected by violence. 
  • Preference is given to candidates with experience working with government and non-governmental organizations. 
  • Facilitation experience. 
  • Willingness to provide support as a manager. 
  • Ability to make informed decisions, remain flexible and apply experience and management skills to challenges. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Code of Ethical Conduct
